UREA-UTS Reagent Kit for Quantitative Determination of Urea in Human Serum, Plasma, and Urine

The UREA-UTS reagent kit is intended for the quantitative determination of urea concentration in human serum, plasma, and urine using an enzymatic method, in accordance with specification TU 9398-016-59879815-2009.

Kit Composition

Reagent 1 – Buffer/Substrate Solution

• Sodium dihydrogen phosphate – 50 mmol/L
• Disodium EDTA – 2 mmol/L
• Sodium salicylate – 400 mmol/L
• Sodium nitroprusside – 10 mmol/L
• pH – 6.7

Reagent 2 – Buffer/Substrate Solution

• Sodium hypochlorite – 140 mmol/L
• Sodium hydroxide – 150 mmol/L

Reagent 3

• Lyophilized urease in tablet form (~3000 U/tablet)

Calibrator

• Urea calibration solution – 8.33 mmol/L
