SONIC Microcatheter

SONIC Microcatheter

The Sonic microcatheter is designed for delivering liquid embolic agents into the distal vessels of the brain. It is compatible with SQUID, ONYX, Phil, n-BCA, and Glubran.

The Sonic microcatheter is based on the Fusecath principle, allowing the distal tip to detach if it adheres to the embolic material when a certain tension threshold is reached. This minimizes adverse effects on the arteries and reduces the risk of bleeding.

A new type of microbraiding, combined with progressively decreasing stiffness and diameter, maintains the flexibility of the distal portion of the Sonic microcatheter while making it resistant to high pressures (up to 7 bar), ensuring excellent navigability and flexibility. This design enhances safety during injections.

The Sonic microcatheter offers outstanding flexibility, providing excellent navigational performance.

Main Features:

  • Microcatheter with detachable tip
  • Designed for liquid embolic systems: SQUID, ONYX, Phil, and cyanoacrylate-based glues
  • Suitable for prolonged delivery in arteriovenous malformations (AVMs)
