SECLIPSE Microcatheter

The SECLIPSE balloon microcatheters are designed for temporary occlusion of peripheral vessels and cerebral arteries during the treatment of vasospasm, bifurcation aneurysms, and wide-neck aneurysms. The ultra-soft balloon, made from a biocompatible elastomer, ensures excellent vessel wall apposition even in complex vascular anatomies. The Hydrospeed 2 hydrophilic coating provides smooth and safe catheter navigation.

The hydrophilic layer covers both the catheter shaft and the balloon surface. Upon inflation, the hydrophilic layer on the balloon thins, providing additional stability during the procedure. Rapid balloon deflation is achieved through the catheter’s wide lumen, which is compatible with a 0.012” microguidewire.

Visualization is enhanced by two radiopaque markers at the balloon edges and one at the distal tip. The SECLIPSE balloon catheter is DMSO-compatible, allowing its use with non-adhesive liquid embolic agents. It is recommended in Europe for vasospasm treatment.
