HYBRID Microguidewire
The HYBRID microguidewires are an innovative technical development by BALT. This new series successfully replaces the previous SORCERER and STEEL microguidewires, combining all their advantages into one product.
The distal part of the HYBRID microguidewires is made of nitinol, while the proximal part is made of stainless steel and coated with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). Thanks to nitinol, the distal section is highly flexible and retains its shape for an extended period. The radiopaque distal tip is atraumatic and can be easily shaped. The stainless steel proximal part provides high strength and excellent transmission of axial and rotational movements. The unique Hydrospeed hydrophilic coating ensures smooth navigation.
HYBRID007 microguidewires are the thinnest in the world, with a distal diameter of 0.007" and a proximal diameter of 0.012". BALT also produces shorter HYBRID007D microguidewires, 120 cm in length, suitable for pediatric use. To maintain the flexibility of the nitinol tip, only the proximal part has been shortened from 150 cm to 60 cm.
The unique combination of materials makes the HYBRID10D300 microguidewires the strongest and safest exchange microguidewires, as exchange procedures can carry a high risk of complications. The HYBRID10D300 is compatible with SECLIPSE and SCOPERNIC balloon catheters; however, balloon inflation is not possible while the exchange microguidewire is in place. For inflation, the HYBRID 1214D included in the set must be used.
HYBRID microguidewires are intended for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures in cerebral vessels. Each set includes a microguidewire rotation device (torquer) to assist with wire manipulation.
