Diagnostic Reagent Kit for Rapid Identification of E. coli O104:H4

This kit is designed for the identification of Shiga toxin-producing strain Escherichia coli O104:H4 using the latex agglutination method.

Kit Composition:

• Dropper Bottle #1 (Blue Cap, Latex Test E. coli O104:H4):
  • 0.5% suspension of monodisperse polystyrene aldehyde latex particles, diameter 0.65 μm;
  • Sensitized with immunoglobulin G from rabbit serum with antibodies to lipopolysaccharide O104 and flagellar antigen H4 of E. coli O104:H4.
• Dropper Bottle #2 (White Cap, Control Latex Test):
  • 0.5% suspension of monodisperse polystyrene aldehyde latex particles;
  • Sensitized with immunoglobulins from serum of non-immunized rabbits.
• Dropper Bottle #3 (Green Cap, Positive Control E. coli O104:H4):
  • Heat-inactivated suspension of E. coli O104:H4 culture;
  • Concentration of 10 units according to OSO 42-28-85 P.D.
